Mobility challenges rarely stop at the staircase. We address the entire path through your home.
The most effective way to restore independent floor-to-floor access — without construction, without disruption, and without leaving the home you've built your life in.
A stairlift mounts directly to your stair treads — no structural modification, no wall anchoring. Installation typically takes half a day for straight staircases. Modern units fold flat when not in use, include battery backup, and work on virtually any configuration: straight, curved, narrow, or with a landing.
We install AmeriGlide stairlifts and assess your specific staircase before recommending any unit. Straight, curved, and outdoor configurations are all available.
Full details on configurations, pricing, installation timelines, and frequently asked questions — including what a stairlift costs in California.
The right ramp is determined by your entry, your grade change, and how you move. We assess all three before recommending anything.
Ramps are the most common mobility modification we install — and also the most frequently done wrong. The slope, width, surface material, and handrail height all directly affect safety and usability. A ramp that looks fine can still create a hazard if the grade is too steep or the surface becomes slippery when wet.
We install modular aluminum ramps, concrete ramps, and wood ramp systems depending on the entry configuration and the client's preference for permanence and aesthetics. Threshold ramps handle the small step-overs that create daily hazards. Full ramp systems address multi-step entries.
When a ramp isn't possible and a stairlift isn't the right fit, a vertical platform lift is often the best solution — and the most underutilized one.
A vertical platform lift operates like a small residential elevator, moving a platform straight up and down between two levels. They're ideal for raised entries, back porches, decks, and interior level changes where the grade change is too significant for a ramp but the full staircase doesn't warrant a stairlift.
VPLs require a footprint roughly the size of a wheelchair and can be installed indoors or outdoors. They're significantly more affordable than a full elevator installation and require no shaft construction. Most residential VPLs have a travel height of up to 14 feet.
Sometimes the biggest hazards are the smallest ones. We address the full path through your home — not just the staircase.
Standard doorways (28–30 inches) are too narrow for most wheelchairs and many walkers. We widen doorways to ADA-standard 36 inches, including frame, trim, and hardware — finished to match your existing interior.
One of the highest-impact, lowest-cost improvements available. A properly placed handrail at the right height — graspable, continuous, and anchored correctly — dramatically reduces fall risk at entry steps and interior stairs.
Most mobility equipment dealers start with a product catalog. We start with your home, your movement patterns, and your specific hazards. That sequence changes everything.
A stairlift is the right answer for some situations. A ramp is right for others. A VPL is right when neither of those fits. We don't have a financial incentive to recommend one over another — we recommend what will actually work for your home.
We visit your home, measure the space, and watch how you move through it before making any recommendation.
Our CAPS credential means we understand the clinical progression of mobility changes — not just the equipment that addresses them.
We recommend installations that integrate with your home's look. A stairlift or ramp doesn't have to announce itself.
You receive a written scope and pricing before any work begins. No surprises, no pressure, no upselling.
We don't send a salesperson. We send an assessor.
Every mobility modification starts with understanding your home's specific layout and your movement patterns — then identifying the smallest set of changes that restore the most independence.
No pressure. No overselling. We visit your home, measure your staircase, entry configuration, and doorway widths, and observe how you currently move through the space. We identify every hazard — not just the obvious ones.
Based on what we find, we recommend the specific product and configuration that best fits your home. You receive a written proposal with clear pricing and a realistic timeline before anything is ordered or scheduled.
Most ramp and lift installations are completed in a single day. We walk you through operation, answer every question, and follow up after installation to confirm everything is working as expected.
